Christmas and Stuff

Wow. It was a crazy month as I am sure it was for all of you. Crazy but great. Ours was full of parties (ward, primary, office, family and friend), the boys choir concert, a piano recital, shopping, book club, a cookie exchange, a USU basketball game, dentist and doctor appointments, Sam getting sick, me getting sick, making treats for neighbors, more shopping, all the regular running around, of course Christmas itself, and tons of snow.

The snow has been so fun, it has been awhile since we have had a Christmas that white, but it also changed some of our plans. We missed a trip to Utah to see Savior of the World and the Temple Square lights with family (although the huge storm predicted was actually late in coming and we could have gone, bummer) and we also missed a trip to Island Park to spend time with my brother and his family. We were really disappointed, those were the two things I was looking forward to the most in December. But we did have a wonderful Christmas and I hope you all did too.

The boys always want to help me decorate the tree but I really like it to be perfect (yeah, kind of rude, I know). So this year we put a smaller little tree in the library and let the boys decorate it with out any help. They thought it was the greatest.
Playing in the snow one night after helping Daddy and Papa shovel snow.
Christmas Eve with the VanOrden clan. Alex asked all month when we would be able to do the nativity play.
Decorating gingerbread houses. Another favorite.
Christmas morning.
Alex's prized possession--a basketball signed by the Aggie basketball team.
Sammy got the Thomas Great Discovery.
A little Mario Dance Dance Revolution.
Sledding with cousins the day after Christmas. The boys were amazed at how big the drifts of snow were.

Kelly, Danette, Maryn and Kelsey stopped by for a few hours on there way home from the cabin. We were disappointed not to spend time in Island Park with them, but at least we got to see them do some Mario Dance Dance Revolution!!

Your pictures are so fun! It was great to see you, even if it was short! That storm never happened for us either, so we were wishing we stayed with you. Thanks for the yummy dinner and letting me get a such a great score on your dance game, Alex!
