Forth grade is the year of Idaho History. Sam loved everything he learned about Idaho. It was so fun to watch him really gain that Idaho Pride. He loved the stories of the pioneers and early settlers. He has also become obsessed with finding a star garnet. Apparently they are only found in Idaho and India. When it came time for the Idaho History Program he was not thrilled that he had to dance with a girl. However, it wasn’t long before he was telling me how fun square dancing is and how he wishes he could find someone to dance with. When Sam finds an interest in something it becomes an obsession…he now wants me to find him an Idaho History textbook (NOT a book about Idaho—the actual textbook from school). Funny boy!
For his Idaho history project he chose to make a handcart. He is very excited about the fact that it will be entered in the Eastern Idaho State Fair.
