As many of you know we have decided to build a new home. The decision was not easy and took a lot of time to come to. But once we made the decision things have moved quickly. As of about 3 weeks ago we were still considering waiting until next summer. Well, as of this morning we have a hole dug! Okay, so it is just a test hole for the septic but we have begun! They are hoping to start digging (for real) the end of this week or first of next. We (or maybe just I) have stressed and fretted over the plans, but they are done and we love it!
I thought Alex would have a hard time with moving. For at least 2 years after we moved here he would talk about going back to our old house (Korth's house). And the same when we got the van--he wanted our dumb Chevy Malibu back. But all he needed to know was we get to live by Papa and Mema and Livvy and he was all for it! It will be so fun to be next to family and have cousins super close to play with. We are all very excited!

Wow that is happening fast. we have friends here (that we bought the property with) that are still trying to get through the permit process! Good luck--we will want to hear all the tips as you go because we still want to build someday. we kept that plans that we had drawn up. Send pictures too!
